My 1080p Tv Is Showing 720p

Re: My tv was showing 1080p, but now show 480. The receiver will only deliver 1080p when it is tuned to an On Demand program in 1080p, or when you are doing the test. Otherwise it will deliver the resolutions you checkmark in the menu. If you set native off and just checkmark 1080i/p, all signals from the receiver will be 1080.

Try verifying the 1080 setting in the dvr, by clicking menusettingsvideo settings and then selecting video format. Make sure 1080 i has a checkmark. If that doesn't work then try the advanced menu setting and select native mode, which means your tv will control the video settings. So to do that, you have to have the tv and the cable box turned on. It's a two hand operation. You want to power the cable box OFF with your hand (don't use the remote) and then with your other hand you will use the remote and hit ok and then menu. These are all pressed one after the other, and try do do about a half second to a second between button presses. So Power off on the face of the cable box with one hand, wait half second to a second, press ok, and then wait about a half second and press menu.that should get you into the Advanced menu options where you can select NATIVE from the menu system.once selected you can hit power to get out of that menu.

So I've been using my Roku for awhile now without any issues through HDMI input. Whenver I switch to the HDMI channel on my TV, it will say what mode I am in. I have my Roku set to 1080p, but my TV only says it's receiving 720p from HDMI cable connected to the Roku.

However, when I switch the the other HDMI ouput connected to my desktop, my TV says it's displaying 1080p. So my question is, is there something else I need to check out to display 1080p from the Roku besides the obvious Settings Display type menu? My TV is obviously capable of 1080p since I've used it with my computer all the time, but for some reason my TV displays 720p when the Roku is set to 1080p. Any ideas on where to start for troubleshooting? My model is Roku XD 2050X.

Switching my sharp 70 inch tv from 720p to 1080p. When i connect my usb to my new sharp aquos 39 inch lcd led tv, it plays 720p videos fine but not 1080p, why my tv is fullhd? I have a 50 inch insignia its 1080p but showing 720p how do i get it to 1080p? I have my display set to only screen 2 which is my TV so that I can push the resolution up to 1920x1080 instead of the laptop's 1600x900. The problem is that in my PC settings under resolutions on Windows 8.1 I have it set to 1920x1080 however the TV is displaying it at 1280x720 and it's not just the TV.

It supports 1080p and has the option for it under display settings.Yeah that's a Generation 1 player. The 1080p is only available if the source is 1080p. Netflix (Roku 1 Channel), Hulu, and Amazon all are a native 720p, Roku Generation 1 players do not upconvert. Plex and the 1080p Showcase channels are the only channels that I can think of on Roku 1 that will give you 1080p.

Roku 2 XD and XS and the Streaming Stick are the only models that upconvert to 1080p (plus Netflix Roku 2 channel streams 1080p natively). My model is Roku XD 2050X.
